APPEARANCE,
Sam is not a bad looking girl at all, though she takes her dad's short end of the stick in terms of height. Sam stands at a mere 154.94 cm (5' 1") and tends to get quite miffed when her height is brought into a discussion. Her hair is a long and a very dark brown that borders the color of her mother's. She is said to resemble her mother with the exception of lacking obvious signs of her mom's Asian ethnicity. Her eyes are almond-shaped and share the hazel color with her father. For a girl her age, Sam has developed a bit earlier than most. It's not uncommon, but it does cause some more stress on her poor father.

PERSONALITY,
Samantha can be described as almost a miniature version of her father. She is out-going and a social butterfly at heart. Sam has more tendency for pranks and trouble than her dad, and isn't afraid to be a smartass after the fact. She can intentionally seek out trouble just for the adrenaline rush or just to cause someone else an inconvenience. The rule is that the person has to, in some way, deserve it. "Giving people their sweet desserts" is a term than can accurately describe her method. Sam does not target the innocent. She likes to try and suck up to her teachers, and though she does not do her homework as much as she should, Sam is a clever girl. She can also be a sympathetic character if the mood strikes her. Sam is not above comforting others, and it's her kind-heart nature that can lure in possible friendships. She is a loyal friend and protective.
Downsides are that Samantha has the same, quick temper as her mother. Her anger can know no bounds and Sam can hold a grudge for weeks at a time. This can be frustrating for some, as well as her insistence on targeting people for her entertainment. Her attitude can also be a turn-off. Samantha is blunt in her words and hardly gives thought to how she says things. It can lead to misconceptions, which lead to conflict. Sam isn't so resistant to conflict as Gabriel, but she, also, has a cowardly tendency in certain situations. Otherwise, Sam is as stubborn as a bull. She has a low resistance to pain, and so Samantha relies more on thought than fists. It is to be warned that Sam can become jealous very, very easily.

BACKGROUND,
Samantha has been in Eureka, California all her life. She was given the name "Sammael" at birth, but documents -- including her birth certificate -- label her as the more-common name Samantha. In all honesty, Sam prefers the name, though she still responds to Sammael when either of her parents refer to her as such. It is her "angelic" name, as she calls it. Sam was raised to hide that she was not human.
It was a problem due to her inability to control her powers from such a young age. Her parents went to great lengths to hide and explain some of the odd things that went on in their home. The girl did not understand the great importance that her status be hidden from the everyday human. She could not comprehend it when her parents tried to explain. Nonetheless, Sam refrained from using anything abnormal in the presence of human beings -- unless she had no choice. Her powers were not more-easily controlled until she reached the age of 8.
At the age of 12, Sam got her younger sister Thalia. It was a hard adjustment for the girl, who suffered from extreme jealousy. She had liked the idea of a sibling until said sibling began to take a lot of mommy and daddy's time. Samantha was very much a daddy's girl. She adored and looked up to her father. Sam still does to this day. She eventually adjusted to having a younger sibling, but still finds Thalia something of an annoyance.
So far, Samantha's life has been quite normal. She gets into mischief like all the other kids, but she has a nice family. Sam has lived like a human, just like her parents, and has done all she could to hide anything otherwise. She is freshly 16 now, and excited for what this year will bring to her. She's been warned heavily since going into her teenage years that she needs to watch out about her abilities. Sam doesn't feel any need to worry.
